Transmission: Kill is a classic survival horror experience in a side scrolling perspective. Featuring genre staples such as manual saves, interactive puzzles, and grotesque monsters to blast, Transmission: Kill harkens back to a simpler era of atmospheric horror.

Stranded and wounded on a forgotten planet somewhere in the Triangulum Galaxy, you find yourself in front of an old alien power substation. But what lurks inside is more dangerous than any enemy you've encountered before. As a genre fusion between "Metroidvania" and "Survival Horror", you'll jump, shoot, and use your wits to survive. Blast enemies with three different weapons, solve various puzzles, and scavenge for items as you attempt to escape the horrors inside the substation.

  • 3 weapons to collect
  • 5 areas to explore
  • Various puzzles to solve and clues to find
  • Manual saving
  • Scarce supplies make for a difficult adventure
  • 45mins-1hr play-time for first time play through
  • Time recorded at the end of each playthrough! See how fast you can complete it

Transmission: Kill was born out of my love for the original resident evil, and the metroidvania genre, and the attempt to bridge the gap between the two. This was a ton of fun to work on and I hope you give it a try!

ive been waiting for a game to pull this combination off. redo! was close… but this NAILS it. I would give anything for a full length game like this. Is this an idea you’ll ever return to? ITS PERFECT

Thank you!
At some point in the future I might re-explore this idea, I had a ton of fun making it!

Awesome. Well either way, Duck Boy is gonna be a day one purchase for me :)

it’s been almost a year and I can’t stop thinking about this game or referring others to it. Just curious if you’ve considered returning to this combination - the Metroidvania scene is truly lacking a great horror entry (besides Depths of Sanity)

you would also hit a perfect cross section of resident evil and Metroidvania fans - it would do well. Kinda similar to crowsworn, combining Dark Souls with Hollow Knight, and it’s one of the most wishlisted games on Steam.

You’ve shown just how capable you are walking the right rope between survival horror and the power fantasy of a MV and I really hope you will seize your unique talent and make a full length entry.

/rant done ;)

Love the mix between old-school survival horror and Metroivania, nice job! My only nitpick is that there's a few spots in the map where it's practically impossible to avoid getting hit several times by the small frog-like enemies.

Gonna be honest, I have no clue how to solve the android puzzle and I'm stuck

other than that, it was cool so far

The note found in the space port gives a hint:
... LIVING INSIDE STILL, HENRY LURKS ...

consider which specific organs you can place, try to keep the names of them in mind as you read the note

Thanks! (I wasn't sure if it was a clue or a warning lol)

I managed to finish it, fun game
I actually didn't die even once

Nice! congrats!

glad you liked it

Hi, cool game! Is there possible to save?

yes - you can save at the red computers in the game, granted you have a save-disc item (two are beside the save station at the start of the game, shortly after the first enemy)
